sub-profiles:
Click the Active Profile link at the very top of G Hub to get started. By selecting the “Create a new profile or sub-profile” option, you can create a new profile or subprofile. Click the plus (+) sign at the top of the window to create a new profile (and immediately attach it to a program); click the plus (+) symbol at the bottom of the window to create a sub-profile within that program.
To designate lights and buttons:
Choose the profile or subprofile you want to edit before returning to the main panel.
After doing so, choose the device you want to program and click it. From here, it should be quite self-explanatory.
Change the illumination or sensitivity, assign your mouse and keyboard buttons any way you choose, utilize stereo or surround sound on your headphones and more. Your changes will all be immediately saved in G Hub.
In this instance, there are simply two warnings to keep in mind. One is that your desktop profile will be reactivated if you leave G Hub. Take caution not to unintentionally alter the hardware’s productivity settings when you return to G Hub and decide to continue modifying your gaming profile.
The second thing to bear in mind is that in order to move between sub-profiles, you must manually assign buttons to do so. You can use a mouse button if your headset lacks a G button.
Why won’t Windows load Logitech G-Hub?
If Logitech is already running and Windows starts up with it, it’s possible that Windows believes the software is already open. You must stop the G Hub service and prevent it from starting up again in order to resolve this problem. Additionally, it’s likely that the Windows Firewall has already blocked access to the software.
The application tries to create an internet connection when you initially use it, but your firewall settings can prevent this from happening. It’s necessary to establish an exception for the Windows Defender Firewall. Last but not least, the most typical problem is that G Hub administrator permissions are not provided.
Solution 1: Using the Task Manager to restart the process
The task manager is presumably something you’ve already used to cope with stalled programs. Most customers have found success by killing the Logitech process in the Task Manager and deactivating it from startup, which is the most often encountered source of this issue. In order to avoid this, take the following actions:
Press Ctrl, Shift, and Esc at the same time to access the Task Manager menu. Additionally, you may press Ctrl + Alt + Del and choose Task Manager from the list of options that appears on the popup blue screen. As an alternative, you may look for it using the Start Menu’s search function. Simply because it is the most straightforward, we typically select the first alternative.
Click the “More Details” button in the lower-left corner of the window to enlarge the Task Manager. Look for “Logitech Gaming” under the Apps menu or the Background Processes option. Click “End Task” in the lower right-hand corner of the menu after selecting it.
Check to see whether the problem has been fixed. Continue to the next step if the G Hub app still won’t launch for you. You may also turn it off upon startup. Open the Task Manager and navigate to the “Startup” tab to accomplish this. Click the “Disable” button after selecting “Logitech Gaming.”
Execute a clean reinstall as a second option
Open Windows Explorer, then select “This PC.”
Open the profiles folder at C:UsersYOURUSERNAMEAppDataLocalLogitechLGHUB.
You should check the hidden files and directories if you can’t open this folder. Select the “View” tab and then the “Hidden Items” checkbox on the File Explorer menu. After that, File Explorer will display the hidden files. It’s important to know that this choice will be kept until you make another change to it.
Make sure all of the .xml files containing profile data are chosen. Right-click the selection and choose “Copy” after that. Put these files where you can find them easily by pasting them there. By selecting the Start Menu, you may access the Control Panel. By selecting the gear icon on Windows 10 you may access the Settings option.
Click “Uninstall a Program” under the Programs category after choosing “View as Category” in the Control Panel’s top right corner.
If you’re using the Settings app, select Apps, and a pop-up window displaying every program installed on your computer should appear right away.
Find the G Hub entry on the list. Click the Uninstall button above the list, then check any dialogue boxes that pop up.
The Logitech Gaming Software can then be successfully removed by following the on-screen instructions.
After that, you must delete any leftover data.
To go to this place, use Windows Explorer and select “This PC”: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\ Logitech
Reinstall it using the installer from their website after deleting the Logitech Gaming Software folder. Make sure to use the latest recent installation. The directions in the pop-up should be followed.
Run the software as an administrator (solution 3)
Go to the primary folder for the Logitech Gaming Software that you designated during installation. The majority of the time, it may be found at C: Program Files (x86)Logitech Gaming Software.
By right-clicking on the.exe file’s entry on the Desktop, the Search results window, or the Start menu, you may find it and modify its attributes. Choosing Properties
Check the box to run as administrator under the Compatibility tab in the Properties window.
If “Run This Program in Compatibility Mode” was checked in the Compatibility mode section, uncheck the box next to it.
Verify any pop-up dialogue boxes.
Double-click to ensure that the problem has been fixed.
